Our visit to the Sinai Academy


Last week we visited the Sinai Academy in Bloubergrant it was very interesting

The Sinai Academy was a school
First we learned about the Jewish bible.Then they told us about the what they do.they separated  the boys and the girls.Then we learned about what they God told them to do

It was interesting because they had to write God like this “G-d”.And all of the information that I just told was told by their priest called the Rabbi.People are trying to find Mount Sinai but they don't where it is. Oh and the Boys had to wear a thing called a a Kipper.A Kipper is like a little hat that the Jewish boy have to wear.Then we read the Jewish bible they open it from the back of the book.I accidentally opened it in front.Then we saw the ark of the Covenant with the ancient scrolls and the rabbi had strings hanging from his jacket.

Then we went to the senior primary of their school.The kids there did a little speech for us the we eat some of the bread then my friend Kieran took a bite of the bread and spat it out because he said it didn't taste nice.And my friend Ty spilled all of the grape juice.Then the children did a presentation for us.Then we came back.and we went back home.

Walk in someone else’s shoes

Walking in someone else’s shoes mean to almost feel like them at that moment. Empathy is simply listening,holding space without judgment,emotionally connecting,and saying that incredibly healing message”You’re not alone” I needed empathy once when I got my new MRF.My MRF was a very expensive cricket bat.My dad and I were playing in the road/street.My dad hit the ball hit the ball and then and it hit the tip of my bat.And it chipped.I was crying a lot.Then my sister came.She was trying to make me happy.She was bringing me notes and telling me it’s ok.she tried to make me a new one.And then she made me very happy.You can show Empathy by sitting with someone when they are sad.
